Strawberry Iced Matcha - Summer's Best Matcha Recipe
Iced matcha is already a favourite, but add fresh strawberries and vanilla whipped cream and you take it to a whole new level. We created this recipe on a whim, and it instantly became one of our absolute favourites. Fresh, sweet, creamy and beautiful to look at. Best of all - it takes five minutes to make.
What you need (serves 1)
- 3 strawberries
- Ice
- Foamed milk – we used half vanilla-flavoured soy milk and half barista oat milk
- 1 large scoop of Zenzi ceremonial grade matcha + water (matcha shot)
- Lightly whipped cream mixed with vanilla sugar
How to make it
- Mash or crush 3 strawberries in the bottom of a glass
- Fill up with ice and foamed milk
- Pour over the matcha shot - 1 large scoop of Zenzi matcha whisked with a little water
- Top with lightly whipped cream mixed with vanilla sugar
Tips
Like it extra sweet? Use more vanilla-flavoured soy milk.
Want it a little fresher and less sweet? Go with straight barista oat milk all the way.
Frozen strawberries work great too and keep the drink cold for longer.
The matcha shot makes all the difference - the earthy, deep notes of matcha against the sweet strawberries is a combination we can't stop thinking about. Use Zenzi ceremonial grade matcha for the best flavour and the beautiful green colour.
