Apple Pie Matcha Recipe 🍎

By Carolina Rettig

Everything you love about an apple pie – in a glass. Sweet cinnamon apple sauce at the bottom, crisp ice, cinnamon-scented oat milk and a matcha shot on top. This is the recipe you want in hand when autumn starts to show up in the air.

Ingredients – 1 serving

  • 1–2 tbsp apple sauce + a pinch of cinnamon
  • Is
  • 100 ml Oddly Good Oat Barista Cinnamon Dolce (regular oat milk works too)
  • 2–4 g Zenzi Matcha

Cinnamon Cold Foam:

  • 1 part whipping cream
  • 1 part Oddly Good Oat Barista Cinnamon Dolce
  • A pinch of cinnamon

Topping:

  • Cinnamon stick
  • A slice of apple 🍎

How to Make It

  1. Mix the apple sauce with a pinch of cinnamon and pour into the bottom of the glass.
  2. Fill the glass with ice.
  3. Pour over the Oddly Good Cinnamon Dolce.
  4. Whisk 2–4 g of Zenzi Matcha with hot water (70–80°C) until smooth and frothy, then pour gently over the milk.
  5. Whisk the whipping cream, Cinnamon Dolce and cinnamon with a milk frother until fluffy, then spoon the cold foam on top.
  6. Finish with a cinnamon stick and a slice of apple.

Tips

This recipe works just as well without ice and with warm milk for an even cosier autumn feeling. Perfect for when it's blustery outside and you want something that warms you from within.

Why Zenzi Matcha?

The naturally mild flavour of Zenzi Matcha elevates the warm autumn flavours without overpowering them. Ceremonial grade direct from Japan – intensely green, smooth and free from bitterness.
