Iced Matcha with Strawberry Milk – Trendy Matcha recipe
Iced matcha is already a favourite, but this version takes it one step further. With fresh strawberries, strawberry milk and a layer of fluffy strawberry cold foam, you get a drink that's just as beautiful to look at as it is good to drink. Perfect for warm days when you want something refreshing – but still want your matcha boost.
Ingredients – 1 serving
- 3 strawberries
- 2 g Zenzi Matcha
- 100 ml strawberry milk
- Ice
Strawberry cold foam (optional):
- 1 part heavy cream
- 1 part strawberry milk
- A little red food colouring for extra pink colour
How to Make It
- Mash or grate the strawberries into a smooth purée and pour into the bottom of a glass.
- Fill the glass with ice and pour over the strawberry milk.
- Whisk 2 g of Zenzi Matcha with 70–80°C water until smooth and frothy.
- Pour the matcha shot slowly over the ice to preserve the layers.
- Top with strawberry cold foam and serve immediately.
Tips
For a sweeter drink, stir a little honey or agave into the strawberry purée before adding it to the glass.
Why Zenzi Matcha?
The smooth, mild flavour of Zenzi Matcha means the matcha doesn't overpower – it complements the strawberries and strawberry milk perfectly. Ceremonial grade matcha from Uji, Japan, brings a natural sweetness and a deep green colour that makes the drink even more impressive.
