The details.
The difference is the shade-growing period. Zenzi Ceremonial Matcha is shade-grown longer than Zenzi Daily Matcha, and that affects the flavor. Zenzi Daily Matcha is our everyday choice, with a soft, balanced taste and a lightly nutty undertone. It's especially good in a latte, hot or cold. Zenzi Ceremonial Matcha is our original matcha, with a sweeter, smoother and more refined taste, more pronounced umami and lower astringency. It's best enjoyed on its own, whisked in a bowl, or in an extra luxurious matcha latte.
70–80°C (158–176°F). Let boiled water rest for about a minute off the heat. Too high a temperature makes the matcha more bitter and damages the amino acids that give it sweetness and umami.
2 g per serving, roughly one chashaku (bamboo scoop) or a level teaspoon. Start there and adjust to taste. For a latte, you can add a little more for a stronger matcha flavor.
Store in a cool, dark place in an airtight container. Keep it in the fridge after opening to preserve color and flavor.

~1 min totalAdd matcha
Add 2g of matcha (one chashaku scoop) to a matcha bowl or cup.
Add water
Pour ~70ml of 70–80°C water (not boiling) over the matcha. Let boiling water rest for one minute first — high heat makes matcha bitter.
Whisk & enjoy
Use a bamboo whisk in brisk Z-motions until a fine foam forms without lumps. Drink as is, add more water for a lighter cup, or top with warm or cold milk for a latte.
Use a bamboo whisk and water at 70–80°C. Every variable matters — this is the real thing.
Pair it with.
