Zenzi Bamboo Whisk.
100-prong bamboo chasen, handmade for the motion that turns powder into foam. Thin tines distribute the matcha evenly — no lumps, just smooth. Traditional shape, daily use.
The details.
Soak the whisk in warm water for about 60 seconds, until the small center knot loosens. This softens the bamboo and relaxes the prongs, and prepares the whisk for its first use.
Rinse with warm water right after use. No soap — it strips the bamboo and shortens prong life. Shake off excess water and dry on a holder, prongs down, in open air.
Three to six months of daily use with proper care. The main enemy is sitting wet — a whisk holder between sessions makes a real difference to lifespan.
100 thin prongs create the fine foam that defines a good bowl of matcha. Fewer prongs mean coarser texture and more clumping. 100 is the count that gives you a consistently smooth, stable foam.
